Introduction
In the year 2024, a Mega Auction was held for the IPL to be played in 2025, in which every team has a purse amount of ₹120 crores so that all the teams can buy players as per their needs. But the IPL to be held in the year 2026 will not be a Mega Auction but a Mini Auction, in which all the teams, not just one team, will fix and adjust their team as per the performance of the players.

Top Team-wise Purse Remaining Breakdown: IPL 2026
In the IPL Mini Auction, all the teams have different purse amounts. Therefore, the purse value of the players released by the team increases by the same amount. For example, when Sunrisers Hyderabad released Ishan Kishan, they got a purse amount of ₹15.25 crore.

Kolkata Knight Rider Purse Remaining 2026
Kolkata Knight Riders have a Remaining Purse Amount of ₹69.3 crore. For the Mini Auction to be held on 16 December 2025, Kolkata Knight Riders have 13 player slots vacant, from which they can buy only 4 overseas players. Kolkata Knight Riders management team for the 2026 IPL has made significant changes to improve performance and ensure the team reaches the top four. In the 2025 IPL, the Kolkata Knight Riders finished in 8th position with 12 points.
Chennai Super King Purse Remaining 2026
Chennai Super Kings, one of the best teams in the Indian Premier League, finished in last place in IPL 2025 due to poor team selection and poor performance. Chennai Super Kings has a total purse amount of ₹48.3 crore. Chennai’s management will make changes to Mini Action as needed.
Sunrises Hyderabad Purse Remaining 2026
Sunrisers Hyderabad has a total remaining purse of ₹22.9 crore for the 2025 mini auction. Sunrisers Hyderabad management will also purchase players in the auction based on their team’s requirements. Due to Sunrises Hyderabad Player Selection, the performance in IPL 2025 was not good.
Lucknow Super Giants Purse Remaining 2026
Lucknow Super Giants has released a total of 7 players before the IPL mini auction; the remaining purse of Lucknow Super Giants is ₹22.9 crore.
Delhi Capital Purse Remaining 2026
Delhi Capitals’ purse amount is ₹21.8 crore. Delhi Capitals will also be looking for better players in the IPL mini auction. Delhi Capital has already spent ₹102.05 crore in IPL retention and trade before Mini Action.

Punjab Kings IPL 2025 Runner Up Team, Punjab Kings will not have to make many changes in the team for IPL 2025, Punjab Kings has ₹11.5 crore for IPL Mini Auction.
Mumbai Indians Purse Remaining 2026
Mumbai Indians will be the team with the lowest prize money in the IPL 2025 mini auction. Mumbai Indians have a remaining prize money of ₹2.75 crore. The Mumbai Indians management won’t have to make many changes to the team for IPL 2026.
