Batting all-rounder Cameron Green from Australia has become the third expensive player in IPL history but due to the new rule of BCCI, the player will get only ₹18.00 crore, and the rest of the amount will go to the IPL Player Welfare Fund. Cameron Green has been bought by Kolkata Knight Rider for IPL 2026 for a huge amount of ₹25.20 crore, KKR’s management had come with a huge amount of ₹64.30 crore for IPL Mini Auction and with its great strategy. According to the report, Cameron Green will have to play the role of top order batting and bowling for 2 to 3 overs for KKR.
Cameron Green has become the most expensive overseas player in IPL history and with this record, he also broke Mitchell Starc’s record of most expensive overseas player made in 2024.

In the Mega Auction of the year 2025, India’s capped batsman and wicketkeeper Rishab Pant was the most expensive and till now in the IPL Mini Auction of the year 2026, Rishab Pant is the most expensive player in IPL history. Pant was bought by the management of Lucknow Super Giants in the Mega Auction at a big price tag of ₹27.00 crore.
