On 15 November 2025, all the teams participating in the Indian Premier League have made some changes to their teams according to their needs and purse amount. Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain and India’s wicketkeeper-batter will now play for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at his current league fee of INR 18 crore. CSK will be the third franchise of his career. CSK believes Samson’s attacking style and dependable batting will add stability to their top order and improve their match-winning potential.

Sanju Samson was listed in the Kolkata Knight Riders’ squad pool ahead of the 2009 IPL. He joined KKR for the 2012 IPL but didn’t play any matches and was released before the 2013 edition.

After debuting in the 2013 season, Sanju Samson featured for RR each year except in 2016 and 2017 seasons, during which he played for the Delhi Capitals.

Ravindra Jadeja, the experienced all-rounder and former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain, will play for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the upcoming IPL season after being traded to the franchise.

Ravindra Jadeja made his IPL debut in 2008 for Rajasthan Royals in the first IPL season under Shane Warne’s captaincy.

RR gains major advantages after signing Ravindra Jadeja, one of the most experienced all-rounders in IPL history. RR will get better control in the middle overs, especially on slow tracks like Jaipur. Their fielding also improves significantly, as Jadeja is one of the best fielders in world cricket, adding intensity and saving crucial runs as has been revised from INR 18 crore to INR 14 crore.

Sam Curran is expected to move from Chennai Super Kings to Rajasthan Royals in a big IPL trade. His arrival gives RR a more stable all-round option and better balance going into the new season. The move also helps Rajasthan improve their middle-overs plans and adds extra depth to their squad for the challenges ahead.
